01Who we are and these terms

These terms are an agreement between Text2Book (“Text2Book”, “we”, “us”) and the business that creates an account or uses our service (“you”). They cover our website, your account and the missed-call text-back service.

By creating an account, starting a trial or using the service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy policy. If you sign up for a business, you confirm you're at least 18 and allowed to agree on its behalf.

02What the service does

When a call to your business goes unanswered and is forwarded to your Text2Book number, we play the caller a short greeting, then text them from your business. An AI assistant asks the questions you've set up and sends you a booking request with the details.

  • Nothing is booked until you approve it, by text or in your account.
  • We set the service up for you: your texting number, carrier registration, call forwarding help and your assistant's greeting, questions and rules.
  • Our demo line is a sample business for trying the service. Texts to it don't create real bookings.

03Free trial

New businesses get a 14-day free trial. You don't need to enter a card to start.

  • Your 14 days start on the day your Text2Book number goes live, not while we set things up or wait on carrier registration.
  • Before the trial ends, we'll ask you to choose a plan. If you don't, the service stops at the end of the trial. We never charge you automatically, because we don't have a card on file.
  • One trial per business. We may end a trial early if it's used in a way these terms don't allow.

04Plans, billing and cancelling

Our plans are Starter ($5/month) and Pro ($10/month), as listed on our pricing page. Prices are in US dollars and exclude tax.

  • Month to month. Once you choose a plan, you're billed monthly in advance. There's no long-term contract.
  • Usage. Each plan includes a monthly number of missed-call conversations. If you get close to yours, we'll tell you before anything changes.
  • Carrier fees. US carriers charge one-time and monthly fees to register a business for texting. We tell you the exact amounts before you start and pass them on at cost.
  • Cancelling. Cancel anytime by emailing us or from your account. The service runs to the end of the month you've paid for, and we don't refund partial months unless the law requires it.
  • Price changes. We'll email you at least 30 days before a price change takes effect.

05Your phone number and carrier registration

You keep your existing business number. You turn on “forward when unanswered” with your phone provider, and we help you do it. We provide a separate local number, through our licensed carrier partner, that texts your callers while you're subscribed.

  • You agree to give us accurate business details for carrier registration (10DLC), including your legal name, EIN, address and website, and to keep them up to date.
  • Carriers decide whether to approve a registration and may filter or delay messages. We can't guarantee approval or that every message is delivered.
  • If you leave, you can switch call forwarding off at any time. The Text2Book number stays with us.

06Texting your callers

Text2Book sends texts on your behalf only to people who called your business. Here's what your callers can expect:

Message program details

  • What it is: follow-up texts after a missed call to a business that uses Text2Book, about the caller's service request and booking.
  • How often: message frequency varies with the conversation, usually a few messages per request.
  • Cost: message and data rates may apply.
  • Opting out: reply STOP at any time to stop texts. Reply HELP for help, or email hello@text2book.com. Reply START to opt back in.
  • Carriers aren't liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

As the business, you're responsible for how you use texting. You agree to:

  • follow the laws and carrier rules that apply to business texting, including the TCPA, CTIA guidelines and state rules;
  • use Text2Book only to reply to people who contacted you, not for marketing, promotions or bulk messages;
  • not contact anyone again by text after they reply STOP. We block further texts automatically.

07AI replies and bookings

Replies to your callers are written by an AI assistant using the setup you approved. AI can misunderstand a message or get a detail wrong, so:

  • check each booking request before you approve it;
  • you're responsible for the jobs you accept, your pricing and the work you do.

If a caller asks for a person, or the assistant can't help, the conversation is handed to you with an alert.

08Not an emergency service

Text2Book is not an emergency service and doesn't replace calling 911 or your utility company. When a caller mentions something like a gas smell, smoke or a carbon monoxide alarm, the assistant tells them to get to safety and contact emergency services, and alerts you. That message is general guidance, and the assistant may not recognise every emergency.

09Acceptable use

You agree not to use Text2Book to:

  • send spam, marketing blasts or messages to people who haven't contacted you;
  • send content that is illegal, misleading, hateful, sexual or about weapons, drugs or other content carriers prohibit;
  • pretend to be another business or person;
  • break, probe or overload our systems, or get around usage limits;
  • resell the service without our written agreement.

10Your data

Your business details and your callers' conversations belong to you. You let us use them only to run, support and improve the service for you, as our Privacy policy describes. We don't sell them.

You can ask for a copy of your conversations at any time. After your account closes, we delete them on the schedule in the Privacy policy.

11Availability and changes

We work to keep Text2Book running 24/7, but we can't promise it will never be interrupted. The service depends on phone carriers, our AI providers and other partners, and we occasionally need maintenance. We may improve or change features over time. If we remove something important to your plan, we'll tell you first.

12Suspending or closing an account

You can close your account anytime. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts our carrier registration at risk or isn't paid. Where we can, we'll warn you first and give you a chance to fix it.

13Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we don't make promises beyond those in these terms, including that the service will win you a certain number of jobs, be error-free, or deliver every message.

14Limit of liability

As far as the law allows, neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost jobs or lost data. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if you haven't paid anything.

15Claims about your texting

If someone makes a claim against us because of how you used Text2Book, such as texting someone in breach of the law or these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it.

16Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service grows. For important changes, we'll email you at least 14 days before they apply. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Using the service after a change means you accept the new terms.

17General

  • These terms and the Privacy policy are the whole agreement between us about the service.
  • If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
  • If we don't enforce a term right away, we can still enforce it later.
  • You can't transfer your account without our agreement. We may transfer these terms if our business is sold or reorganised.

  1. Estimate based on recovering calls you miss today. Example: a shop that misses 30% of its calls and books half of the callers it answers gets about 29% more booked jobs if a third of its missed callers book after a text-back. Results depend on your call volume and close rate.
